Description

  • 6mm fused glass cabochon stone
  • 16mm x 1mm stainless steel hoop
  • 400mm x 1mm stainless steel chain

Crushed glass and studio off-cuts are kiln fired to form marble effect cabochon stones. Once fired I select and shape the best stones then set them into appropriate steel bases using epoxy glue. After 24 hours they are checked, polished and attached to various jewellery findings with jump rings.

I aim to match similar stones for sets or items purchased together but each cabochon is unique and slight differences will occur.

Used across the SET Creations jewellery range stainless steel is strong, tarnish resistant and recyclable. Glass stones use a combination of frit and crushed off-cuts from larger glass projects.

Returns

Jewellery may be returned in its original condition and packaging within 14 days. For hygiene reasons earrings cannot be returned unless faulty.

Sustainability

SET Creations

Glass stones - formed using a combination of frit and off-cuts from larger projects. Very little waste is produced in my studio as anything deemed unsuitable will be crushed down and re-fired.

Stainless steel - recyclable, durable and rust/tarnish resistant making it an ideal component in jewellery making and less likely to degrade leading to waste.

I Was Once

The I was One brand is dedicated to using recycled materials.

Silver - sourced from Birmingham jewellery quarter and has been certified recycled.

Glass stones - formed from various discarded glass vases, bottles and ornaments.

Energy - my kiln is filled to the max before running a firing schedule.

Allergens

Stainless steel is a metal alloy containing small amounts of nickel and chromium. While some stainless steels are considered hypoallergenic please use caution if you have known allergies as we cannot guarantee it will not cause irritation or a reaction.
